Nilai Ekologi (Ecological Value) Hiu Hasil Tangkapan Nelayan di PPN Brondong Lamongan Jawa Timur

Perairan Indonesia adalah perairan tropis yang memiliki sumberdaya ikan beraneka ragam jenisnya, diantaranya adalah hiu, Keberadaan hiu di perairan laut juga memiliki nilai fungsi ekologi sebagai kantung biomassa yang cukup besar mengingat massa hewan ini yang besar pula. Metode yang digunakan adalah Pengambilan dan pengukuran sampel, Pengambilan sampel ikan hiu dilakukan setiap hari selama 3 bulan di PPN Brondong. Semua jenis ikan hiu di data kemudian di ambil 50-100 sampel untuk diukur parameter panjang dan lebar tubuh. Selanjutnya masing masing sampel ditimbang untuk mendapatkan berat basah (Kg), setelah di ukur sampel ikan dikeringkan secara alami untuk mendapatkan berat kering nya. Hasil dari penelitian ini didapatkan ada 29 jenis hiu dan nilai tertinggi ekologi pada jenis Sphyrna Lewini.
