Kandungan Oksalat Umbi Porang (Amorphophallus muelleri Blume) Hasil Penanaman dengan Perlakuan Pupuk P dan K
Abstract
Porang (Amorphophallus muelleri Blume) merupakan salah satu tanaman bergizi yang memiliki asam oksalat yang berdampak negatif bagi kesehatan manusia. Pupuk P dan K diduga dapat digunakan untuk mereduksi kandungan oksalat pada porang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui  pengaruh pemberian pupuk P dan K secara tunggal maupun kombinasi pada kandungan oksalat umbi porang dan mengetahui jenis dan dosis pupuk yang dapat mereduksi kandungan oksalat. Perlakuan terdiri dari kombinasi empat dosis pupuk K dan empat dosis pupuk P dengan dosis yang sama yaitu 0;2,16;4,32;dan 6,36 g/12 kg tanah yang diaplikasikan ke tanaman porang yang ditumbuhkan hingga empat bulan. Oksalat terlarut dianalisis dengan volumetri dan oksalat tidak terlarut dianalisis dengan spektrofotometri (AAS). Analisis statistik menggunakan ANOVA dilanjutkan uji Tukey α = 5%. Kombinasi pupuk P dan K serta pupuk P tunggal tidak mempengaruhi kandungan oksalat terlarut, tidak terlarut, dan total pada umbi porang. Pemberian pupuk K tunggal pada dosis 2,16 g/12 kg tanah mampu menurunkan kandungan oksalat total sebanyak 34,3 %. Dengan demikian dosis Pupuk K ini berpotensi untuk menurunkan kandungan oksalat total umbi porang.
